Since the 1st July 2025, enough.consulting is officially live and ready to roll! We are big believers in “learning-out-loud”, so we wanted to share some of our reflections about the journey so far.
What three things were most important to get enough.consulting ready for launch?
Jess: Bretzels, coffee and apple-pastries.
Daniel:
- We maintained an open dialogue at all times, sharing and caring for each other; putting all the thoughts on the table, and allowing each other to be vulnerable.
- We were confident and believed in ourselves, while at the same time, we approached the whole process with a lot of humility and calm.
- We share a common belief and values, as well as the conviction that we want to put our energy and competencies into something which (hopefully) can make a real difference.
Jess: OK, let me try that again…
- Our tried-and-tested friendship: we know how the other ticks, what they value and what they need to be at their best. We were lucky to start with that very strong foundation.
- A “take things as they come” approach: people have said to me “oh my god, it must be so stressful to start your own company”. Personally, I have not felt that stress (yet?), because we consciously decided to take things gently, step by step.
- We share a progressive, interconnected worldview and take responsibility for being part of change.
Share a memory of a key moment or turning point during this time.
Jess: There was a week in May that felt like a major turning point for me. I had conversations with two CEOs I respect, to ask their advice. One knows me very well, the other I was meeting for the first time, but they both gave me the same feedback: what I was saying was braver than what we had put on paper. That same week we attended a conference where the courage emphasis seemed to resonate too. It felt like everything was making sense in a new way. That was the week enough.consulting shifted from a side-hustle to my main focus.
Daniel: For me it is not that one particular key moment stands out. I just loved the “natural” process that led to us making continuous progress. With every step, it became a little bit more real. From the corporate identity to the formal registration and receiving our first official letter.
One thing you learnt or would do differently?
Daniel: It’s a rocky road… so it is especially key to keep believing in the process, and remembering that success doesn’t happen overnight. It was particularly important to receive continuous feedback from friends and peers. I think it is too early to answer what I would do differently – ask me again in 6-12 months!
Jess: One of the most important feedbacks we received early on was around defining our Ideal Client Profile, and shaping our language clearly towards them. At first we thought being too specific or niche would put people off, and jeopardise our ability to build a client base. But I am continuously surprised at how, the more radically we talk about transformation, the more it seems to resonate.
What are your three wishes for enough.consulting’s first year?
Both:
- A handful of organisations who are willing to take a leap of faith in us, and recommend us to others. Building such a client base will enable us to continue working and especially to plan ahead for the next 3 years.
- A community of peers, who see what we are doing and are rooting for us! Relevant networking will raise visibility around our offer with potential clients.
- A (s)pace that allows us to experiment, learn and reflect together. We want continue to grow as a team, and as activists, with support, creativity, and fun. We’re just about to find out what we are really capable of achieving!
How can people reading this support enough.consulting ?
Daniel: Spread the word. Open doors. Become part of the journey. Redefining success is going to be a participative effort, we need all hands on deck to bring this about, and we will be stronger together.
Jess: Have a think about the leaders in your network who dare to challenge the growth imperative in and with their organisations. Connect us with them, share our LinkedIn page with them. We would love to hear their advice.
Thank you for your support!
