What if the goal of our economy would be the well-being of all within planetary boundaries?
What would our organisations look like?
How do we lead for that future?
Between August and October 2025, enough.consulting interviewed 27 impact leaders from across a variety of industries and both for- and not-for-profit organisations to understand how they define success in relation to growth, how they navigate the tensions between impact and growth and how they lead their organisations accordingly.
Today, we are publishing the findings from this research in a report called “The Only Way is Up? How impact leaders define success and shape their organisations”.
We are very grateful for the opportunity to publish this research in collaboration with Tomorrow University, the Global University for Impactful Careers. Co-founder and Co-CEO of Tomorrow University, Thomas Funke said about this research:
enough.consulting have hit on a problem that is absolutely central to the real transformation we need in the economy. They take these big ideas of post-growth and degrowth theory, and operationalize them. They don’t just ask “if” leaders are interested in change; they explore the crucial “how”: what it feels like, what the real tensions are, and what practical steps we need to take. They are developing concrete, practice-oriented anchors that move the whole field from “what should be” to “what we can start doing tomorrow.”

We would love to hear how it resonates with you, and what your experience of these questions has been. We would especially love from you if you are interested in collaborating to turn these insights into practice within organisations.
